
OCTOBER 3-5, 2025: Women’s Dirt Shredder Weekend!

Fall is my favorite time of year to mountain bike with the cooler temperatures and beautiful colors. Enjoy shredding dirt and learning new bike skills with like-minded women. Beginners and advanced mountain bike abilities are welcome. The weekend activities include:
- Learn new mountain bike SKILLS in a safe and encouraging environment.
- Gain trail maintenance knowledge and SERVE alongside the CAMBA trails crew!
- Guided group RIDES exploring over 100 miles of CAMBA single-track.
- Endurance Adventures, CAMBA, and Riverbrook Bike Shop sponsor weekend events.
SCHEDULE: OCT. 3-5, 2025
Friday, Oct. 3: Check-in, safety bike check, skills instruction, and trail riding!
Location: Riverbrook Bike Shop & Hatchery Creek Trailhead, Hayward
- 1-2:30 Registration check-in at Riverbrook Bike Shop!
- 3 – 5 Skills & riding at Hatchery Creek Trailhead.
- 5 – 6 Bike maintenance clinic & appetizers
- 6:30 -7 Dinner at (Main Street Tacos)
Saturday, Oct. 4, 2024: CAMBA Trail Work, Skill Instruction & Ride!

Location: Mt. Telemark Village
- 8:30 – 11:30 Volunteer trail work with CAMBA (TBD)
- 11:30 – 12:30 Lunch provided by CAMBA at Mt. Telemark Village
- 12:30 – 3:30 Skill instruction & Trail Riding on new Trek Trails from MT. Telemark.
- 4:30 – 5:30 Appetizers/beverages inside Mt. Telemark Village
- 6:30 – 7:30 Dinner at Tamarack Farm
Sunday, October 5, 2024: Seeley Pass and Flow Mama Riding Adventures
Location: OO Trailhead
- 8:00 – 8:30 Skills starting at 00 Trailhead parking lot
- 8:30 – 11:30 Seeley Pass and Flow Mama trail ride
- 11:30 -12:30 Lunch at the Rudd cabin
- 1:00 – 3:00 Ride more on your own or head home!
MTB Experience/Ability:

We will require all participants to have at least 1-2 years of previous mountain biking experience, feel confident executing fundamental mountain biking skills, and be stoked about multi-day riding!
Participants can choose from various distances (10 -20 miles) for each session. Beginner to advanced ability levels are welcome! Coaches will lead smaller groups of fitness/ability levels for the daily trail rides so everyone can be challenged.
Skills Instruction Description:

Participants can register for one of the fundamental mountain bike skills or the intermediate/advanced progression instruction sessions.
Beginner/Intermediate Skills Coaching Group: This session will include instruction on performing the fundamental mountain bike skills, including neutral/ready positions, bike/body separation, pedal position, eye movement, braking, steering, speed, gearing/cadence, timing/coordination, and pressure control. The class will introduce the skills of climbing, descending, ratcheting, riding straight lines, small circles/switchbacks, and rock dodge. Participants in this group will ride 5-10 miles per session.
Intermediate/Advanced Skills Coaching Group: This session will include an overview of the fundamental skills and an introduction to intermediate and advanced mountain bike skills, including front and rear wheel lifts, level lifts, high-speed cornering, track stands, and front lunges/drops. Participants in this group will ride 10 – 20 miles per session.

Women’s Dirt Shredder weekend includes the following:

- Mountain bike skills instruction for beginner to advanced riders.
- Guided trail riding with your trip leaders.
- Swag bag including water bottle, T-shirt, and chocolate!
- Trailside Appetizers/drinks after Friday and Saturday rides.
- Friday dinner at Riverbrook Bike Shop.
- CAMBA provides Saturday lunch.
- Sunday lunch at Rudd cabin.
- Appetizers/beverages are available on Friday and Saturday evenings following our rides.
Not Included: Participants are responsible for transportation, lodging, Saturday dinner at Tamarack Farm, and breakfast.

Kim Rudd

Coach Kim Rudd is a Level 2 BICP (Bike Instructor Certification Program) Certified Coach Instructor with over thirty years of mountain bike race experience and twenty years of coaching. She enjoys empowering and encouraging women of all ages to become confident in their riding abilities.
Cindy Swift

Cindy enjoys riding bikes for fun and fitness. She is a 26-time Chequamegon 40 finisher. She is interested in learning to ride more efficiently on single-track trails and enjoys empowering women to feel safe and confident on their mountain bikes. Cindy has been a bike and ski shop owner at Riverbrook in Hayward, WI, for 22 years.
Julie Reith

I love biking and share my passion with others. Road, gravel, mountain, or fat bikes bring adventure, exercise, and an opportunity to ride with friends and family. As a board member and coach with Endurance United in St. Paul, MN, and a BICP Level 1 mountain bike certified instructor, I hope to provide skills that empower people to feel safe and enjoy their mountain biking experience. I enjoy sharing a healthy, active outdoor lifestyle in a supportive community while biking, skiing, and hiking.
